WebMar 29, 2012 · I signed up for the Horribly Hilly Hundred in Wisconsin this year. Because I live in the flatlands of Illinois I do not have much experience on hills. The ride allegedly has 10,000 feet of climbing over 120 miles with a 3 mile 5% average grade climb to the finish. I am considering changing out my cassette to a 12-27 from a 12-25 for the ride. WebThe 200k horribly hilly is not hard because of any one hill, but the sum of route. Having to do blue mounds road twice, the hill to Festge twice and all the other high points beween watersheds.
