WebI attempted to remove the rim from my 2009 Ksyrium Elite front wheel on Sunday. I intended to reuse the spokes with a new rim.` It turned out that corrosion had welded the aluminium nipples to the 'hollow eyelets' (which screw onto the end of the spoke and hold the nipple on). Turning the nipples just twisted the spokes until they snapped.
