WebSince its inception in 1982, Pheasants Forever's wildlife habitat projects have benefited more than 5.3 million acres across the continent. In that time, PF has participated in over 1,000 different land acquisitions totaling over 135,000 acres. Pheasants Forever began in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1982 as a response to the decline of pheasant numbers in the state; the result of substantial losses of habitat suitable for pheasants as farming practices intensified.
